Many applicants commonly inquire about whether the College of Education will accept a grade of D7 or admit students with a result that includes a D7.
In the years prior to the introduction of bachelor’s degrees, students pursued a Diploma Certificate program that spanned three years at the College of Education. During this time, the institution was accepting students with a grade of D7 into its programs.
Upon the introduction of the Bachelor’s degree program in 2018, two cohorts have already successfully completed the program at the College, earning their Bachelor’s degrees. All applicants were required to have passed their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with grades ranging from A1 to C6, or their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) with grades from A1 to D7.
Subsequently, all student teachers at the College of Education are now conferred with Bachelor’s degrees.
However, candidates with a D7 in their results must retake the exam and achieve a passing grade before being accepted into the College of Education.
