Leadership Transition Ceremony at St. Vincent College of Education

On October 5th, 2024, a significant transition took place at St. Vincent College of Education in Yendi, Northern Ghana. The Students Representative Council (SRC) held a handing-over ceremony, formally transferring power to their predecessors. This milestone marked the beginning of a new era in student leadership, as outgoing executives passed the baton to incoming office holders, entrusting them with the responsibility of continuing the journey of advocacy, service, and progress.

Dr. Erasmus Notevy Mottey, a visionary leader and esteemed principal of St. Vincent College of Education, presided over the ceremony. Joining him were distinguished faculty members, including Mr. Godsway, Mr. Joseph Boateng, and Mr. Isaac Nkrumah, whose expertise and presence added depth and prestige to the occasion.

In his address, the outgoing SRC President humbly acknowledged that the impressive inventory of achievements presented only scratched the surface, as there were numerous other initiatives and accomplishments that weren’t included in the tally.

 

 

 

 

Previously, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) lacked a distinct logo, relying on the college’s logo for representation. However, the current SRC leadership introduced a novel concept – creating a unique logo exclusively for the SRC. This bold initiative aimed to establish the SRC’s autonomy and distinct identity, symbolizing their commitment to self-governance and independence.

Introducing KHADIGAN: Revolutionizing College RepresentationPrior to this initiative, St. Vincent College of Education lacked an official attire to showcase its identity. Recognizing this gap, the visionary SRC leadership, led by [Name], collaboratively conceived and introduced KHADIGAN – a distinctive, unified dress code. This innovative approach aimed to elevate the college’s visibility, fostering a sense of pride and unity among students, while effectively promoting the institution to the global community.

Introducing the SRC Media Team: Capturing College Life

St. Vincent College of Education has taken a significant leap forward in storytelling with the establishment of its dedicated SRC Media Team. This innovative unit is tasked with documenting and showcasing the vibrant college experience, capturing every momentous event, and sharing it with the world through social media platforms.

 

Following the outgoing SRC President’s heartfelt speech, the Principal of St. Vincent College of Education took the stage to express his profound appreciation. With warm applause, he commended the outgoing SRC team for their exceptional leadership, integrity, and dedication.

Noting the college’s history, the Principal emphasized that this SRC team had set a shining example, demonstrating unwavering honesty, hard work, and commitment.
