Tyron Marghuy, a well-known alumnus of Achimota School, has recently recounted a fascinating encounter he had during the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
This comes just after he accomplished the outstanding feat of obtaining 8As in his final examinations.
In a recent interview, Tyrone said that he did not need to use a calculator while writing his favorite subject, Core Maths, at the just-ended WASSCE.
Some Ghanaians are surprised by this news since they consider the topic to be challenging. However, some argue that the individual in question is capable of anything given his brain.
Currently, this further reinforces his amazing skills, based on his recent success in receiving two esteemed honors at the American Mathematics Olympiad 2023 for his remarkable achievements in Grade
Tyrone Marhguy celebrated his WASSCE 8As
One of the students involved in the 2021 Achimota School admission scandal, Tyrone Iras Marhguy, performed exceptionally well in the just-completed West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In the WASSCE of 2023, the science student from Achimota School received perfect scores.
After the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced the results nationwide on Monday [Dec 18, 2023], Tyrone and his pals excitedly checked them on a computer. This moment was captured in a video that went viral on social media.
When the group learned that Tyrone had performed exceptionally well with 8As, they all sprang into enthusiasm.
Tyrone Marhguy was one of two people who had trouble getting into Achimota School because of their Rastafarian hairstyles, which were considered to be against the school’s code of conduct.
The Rastafarian students who had their applications denied due to their dreadlocks sued the Achimota School Board of Governors, the Attorney General, the Minister of Education, and the Ghana Education Service.
On May 31, 2021, a High Court decision ordered Achimota School to enroll the pupils.
Tyrone did well academically at Achimota, but after the court verdict, his fellow controversial character, Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea, went on scholarship to Ghana International School.
