Renowned Kumawood actor and skit creator, Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Dr. Likee, recently shared a remarkable story of his lucrative YouTube venture. In an exclusive interview with Emelia Brobbey, Dr. Likee revealed that his debut YouTube video earned him a staggering $20,000 (equivalent to GH¢304,000), thanks to the guidance of fellow YouTuber Wode Maya.
Dr. Likee recounted how Wode Maya sent him a mysterious document via WhatsApp, instructing him to take it to the bank. Unaware of the document’s contents, Dr. Likee was astonished when the bank staff handed him a substantial amount of cash – approximately $20,000.
“Wode Maya called me and said he had sent a document via WhatsApp to take to the bank. I was clueless about the document’s purpose, but when I showed it to a bank staff member, he asked me to sit down. Then, I watched in amazement as he counted out dollar notes for me. I was perplexed, wondering what I had done to deserve this windfall. Finally, he placed the money in an envelope and handed it to me,” Dr. Likee explained, still in awe of his good fortune.
